Education in Malvína
This is where personalities grow ♥
At Malvína, we believe that preschool education is the foundation upon which a child builds their entire future life.
Therefore, we do not just guide children toward new knowledge, but also toward independence, self-confidence, cooperation, creativity, emotional stability, and the joy of learning.
Every day, we combine high-quality pedagogical work, an international environment, an individual approach, and affectionate care.
With us, children gain a safe space for exploring the world, developing their own abilities, as well as their first important experiences with responsibility, rules, and relationships.
Our goal is for children to leave Malvína prepared not only for school, but for life – inquisitive, independent, kind, and internally secure.
A thoughtful educational pathway
Education in Malvína is designed as a child’s natural journey from their very first preschool experiences to a confident entry into the first grade.
Each class has its own rhythm, goals, and way of working that correspond to the age and developmental needs of the children.
In the Blue Class, the youngest children learn to manage their first time away from their family, gain trust in a new environment, and take their first steps toward independence.
In the Red Class , we build on these foundations and guide children toward greater confidence in a group, rules, communication, and daily habits.
In the Green Class , we develop cooperation, creativity, longer concentration, first talents, and healthy self-esteem.
In the Orange Class , we focus on preschool preparation, school readiness, independent work, concentration, emotional stability, and the skills needed for a
successful entry into primary school.
Thanks to this continuity, children grow step by step, with respect for their own pace and personality.

Learning through themes, experience, and context
In Malvína, we work with thematic teaching, which helps children understand the world in context.
Each week centers around a specific theme that weaves through the entire day – from morning activities through educational blocks, crafting, movement, books, games, outdoor time, up to afternoon activities.
This way, children do not learn isolated pieces of information, but instead discover the world through their own experience.
They can explore the theme through movement, art, music, storytelling, experiments, conversation, and practical activities.
Even free play often has gentle pedagogical guidance with us – educators prepare a stimulating environment for the children, offer activities related to the current theme, and support their curiosity, independence, and thinking skills.
Czech-English environment
A natural Czech-English environment is a part of everyday life in Malvína.
A system of co-teaching operates in the classrooms, where children are accompanied by both a Czech and an English-speaking educator.
English with us is not just a standalone lesson or an afternoon club.
Children hear it during regular communication, during play, educational activities, daily routines, and joint projects.
Thanks to this, they develop a relationship with the language naturally, without pressure, and with ease.
At the same time, the international environment opens up a broader view of the world for the children. They encounter different cultures, languages, and ways of thinking, learning respect, openness, and the ability to communicate across differences.

Individual approach and cooperation with parents
Every child is different.
They have their own pace, strengths, communication style, and areas where they need more confidence.
Therefore, in Malvína, we regularly monitor the child’s development and evaluate how they are doing in communication, motor skills, independence, concentration, social skills, emotional development, and school readiness.
If necessary, we set up individual educational support and involve a special education teacher, a speech therapist, or other specialists.
A child with us is not just one of many – they are noticed, guided, and supported so that they can grow with certainty and trust in their own abilities.
Cooperation with parents is equally important to us. Once a month, we offer the opportunity for a short afternoon consultation with an educator, and at the end of each semester, longer individual consultations take place, lasting approximately 30–45 minutes.
We also operate under an open-door policy and, taking into account parents’ work schedules, we communicate online as needed.
Our goal is for parents to have a clear overview of their child’s development and for the school and family to move forward together in one direction.
Expert leadership of educational areas
To ensure that education in Malvína has clear quality, continuity, and a long-term direction, we work with coordinators for individual educational areas.
They oversee selected parts of the program, prepare materials for the educators, and ensure that children develop in the given area thoughtfully and in an age-appropriate manner.
We dedicate separate attention to English, environmental education, and art education. We support language development through natural daily communication as well as targeted activities, including elements of the Jolly Phonics method.
We connect the environmental program with real gardening, plant care, nature observation, animal visits, or thematic programs about insects and the living world.
Art and aesthetic education also hold a significant place. Children do not just learn to create, but gradually get to know specific artists, art techniques, and artworks.
They learn to perceive colors, shapes, materials, composition, and the emotions that art evokes in them.

Preparation for primary school
We do not view school preparation as just the last few months before enrollment.
It starts much earlier – in everyday situations, in a child’s ability to concentrate, communicate, complete a task, manage emotions, cooperate, and be independent.
In the preschool class, we address these skills systematically. We develop pre-reading and pre-mathematical literacy, graphomotor skills, speech, memory, attention, logical thinking, spatial orientation, fine and gross motor skills, and the ability to work according to instructions.
For preschool children, we highly recommend a school readiness assessment. Based on it, we can better understand the individual needs of the child and adjust their educational support so that they enter the first grade prepared, confident, and with joy.
Values in everyday life
Children do not learn values from formulas.
They learn them through what they experience every day.
In Malvína, we guide children toward truthfulness, respect, responsibility, fair play, cooperation, kindness, and free thinking.
These values are reflected in play, communication, conflicts, joint projects, dining, outdoor time, and ordinary daily situations.
We want children to understand that their behavior has an impact on others, that agreement and respect make sense, and that a strong personality is recognized not only by being able to assert oneself, but also by being able to perceive others.
Movement, outdoor time, and practical life
Movement and spending time outdoors are an integral part of every day in Malvína.
Children go outside daily, in almost any weather, because we consider movement, fresh air, and contact with the real world to be an essential part of healthy development.
We make use of our own gardens, surrounding parks, playgrounds, and the urban environment. In the gardens, children truly garden, care for plants, observe nature, and learn to understand basic natural relationships.
With the older children, we also go on trips, exhibitions, cultural programs, or thematic events around Prague.
Education includes sports and physical activities, clubs, and intensive courses, such as skiing, ice skating, or cycling.
In this way, children develop motor skills, courage, perseverance, independence, and the rules of fair play.

Education that makes sense
In Malvína, education does not end with a completed task.
Every day is an opportunity for a child to discover something new, understand themselves and others, and take another step toward independence, confidence, and the joy of learning.
We believe that a high-quality preschool should prepare a child not only for the first grade, but for life.
That is why children grow up in Malvína who think, create, cooperate, feel, and look at the world with an open heart.
