An Accredited International Preschool Prague 8 – Karlín
We are Malvína. A private kindergarten in Prague’s Karlín district, where personalities grow
For more than 14 years, we have been creating an environment in Prague’s Karlín where children feel safe, accepted, and inspired. Malvína is a kindergarten that combines high-quality preschool education, an international atmosphere, individual care, and a kind, professional approach.
We believe that the first years of life shape a child’s relationship with learning, themselves, and the world around them. That is why we guide children toward independence, curiosity, consideration, cooperation, and healthy self-confidence. We want them to leave for first grade not only well-prepared but also innerly confident and filled with joy for further discovery.
Part of Malvína’s quality is a well-thought-out system of child care and cooperation with parents. We regularly monitor the development of each child, provide specific feedback, and thanks to the collaboration of educators, school management, a special education teacher, and a speech therapist, we can respond in time to their individual needs.
A daily Czech-English environment, extracurricular clubs, intensive courses, trips, and experiential activities open up space for children to discover their own abilities, talents, and the joy of learning. You can find Malvína in two branches in Prague’s Karlín. Křižíkova is a quiet and safe world for the youngest children from two years old, while Sokolovská offers a well-designed background for older children and preschoolers.
Come and meet us in person.
At Malvína, we grow children who know how to assert themselves, cooperate, think, and look at the world with an open heart.
Follow us
„When I founded Malvína in 2012, I had a clear vision: to create a place for children where they can be themselves, feel safe, and experience a beautiful, happy childhood even in today’s rushed world. I am the youngest of four children and I remember my kindergarten with love. Unlike my siblings, who were not so lucky, I took away a sense of safety, joy, and acceptance from preschool. And that is exactly what I wanted to provide for your children as well.
Therefore, at Malvína, we support children’s curiosity, creativity, sensitivity, and relationship to beauty. However, clear boundaries, respect, truthfulness, keeping agreements, and gradual guidance toward responsibility are just as important to us. My wish is for children to leave Malvína confident, kind, and innerly strong. Children who know how to assert themselves but also think with their hearts.“

The first years shape us for a lifetime
Where lies the strength of Malvína?
The strength of Malvína lies in combining high-quality preschool education, an international environment, individual care, and values that accompany children even outside the kindergarten.
We perceive every child as an individual personality. We monitor their development, support their strengths, and sensitively work with areas where they need more confidence. Children with us are not an anonymous part of a group – they are guided, perceived, and supported so that they can grow at their own pace.
Malvína’s international environment naturally opens up the world to children. Every day they encounter different languages, cultures, and ways of thinking. English is a part of regular communication, and thanks to this, children learn openness, respect, cooperation, and the ability to understand others.
We build education on the development of the child’s entire personality – from language, motor skills, logical thinking, and creativity to emotional stability, independence, and social skills. We guide children toward fair play, truthfulness, responsibility, kindness, and healthy self-confidence.
A big part of Malvína’s quality is also cooperation with parents and professional support. We regularly monitor the child’s progress, provide specific feedback, and, if necessary, involve a special education teacher, speech therapist, or other professional support.
Malvína is an environment where children learn, create, discover, do sports, and get to know culture and the world around them. Our goal is for children to leave us prepared for school and for life – independent, curious, kind, and innerly strong.

Fresh and Quality Dining
Meals are prepared from high-quality primary ingredients, without unnecessary semi-finished products, substitutes, or genetically modified ingredients. The menu includes plenty of vegetables, fresh herbs, and a diverse range of ingredients such as buckwheat, millet, bulgur, or other nutritionally valuable side dishes.

Beautiful modern environment
We are truly proud of our interiors. The branch in Křižíkova Street underwent a demanding renovation in 2020, and photos of the new interiors even made it into international architecture magazines.
Our second, equally beautiful branch in Sokolovská Street has been newly enhanced with its own playground park designed by Ateliér344.
People who create Malvína
The quality of Malvína is built primarily by people. Therefore, we select educators and collaborators for our team who share our values, have a natural relationship with children, and can create an environment full of trust, respect, and joy.
They guide children every day through education, emotions, relationships, and their first major challenges. Thanks to regular education, mentoring, supervision, and cooperation with other specialists, we are able to maintain a high standard of care and an individual approach.
Meet the people who give Malvína its quality, atmosphere, and heart.

Mgr. Jana Bezecná
Kindergarten Director
Jana has been managing our kindergarten since spring 2026, and if you come for a tour, you will certainly meet her and experience her loving approach and open communication. She has more than 18 years of experience in education, from the position of a teacher to the highest roles in state and private schools, as well as several international courses.

Nela Haberland
Deputy Director
Nela has been with us for more than 7 years, working her way up from the position of a nanny to branch manager and today even to deputy director. She graduated in archaeology-history and also taught history for a while before discovering the magic of working with the youngest children and finding her way to us at Malvína ♥

Tereza Radová
Educator
Listing all of Terka’s experiences, courses, and certificates would take a very long time: she has a background in state kindergartens, leading extracurricular clubs, and has moreover just started studying Preschool and Extracurricular Pedagogy at the European College. Her active nature is highlighted by the fact that she sings beautifully with her own band and is also a permanent actress at the Kampa Theatre.
Classes at Malvína
At Malvína, we guide children through the individual stages of preschool age gradually, sensitively, and with respect to their development. Each class has its own rhythm, educational goals, and atmosphere to correspond with the children’s age, needs, and abilities.
The youngest children start in the Blue Class at the Křižíkova branch, where they gain their first confidence outside the family. The Red, Green, and Orange Classes then follow at the Sokolovská branch, guiding children step by step toward greater independence, cooperation, language development, creativity, and school readiness.
In each class, we emphasize an individual approach, high-quality pedagogical guidance, and an environment in which children learn naturally – through play, movement, communication, creation, experiences, and everyday situations. The program develops children while respecting their pace and joy of discovery.
Thanks to smaller groups and thought-out staffing, we can provide children with the attention they truly need in preschool age. Get to know the individual classes of Malvína – from the first kindergarten steps to a confident entry into school.
