Love, tenderness and the first rules

While the preschool programme s a well-oiled machine because the older children are already able to focus and communicate verbally, the nursery is a completely different universe. The 9-month-olds to 2-year-olds absorb hundreds of completely unknown stimuli, everything is new to them and they are just getting to know all sorts of emotions.

The aunts, i.e. professionally trained nannies, mainly observe the times of arrivals, snacks, lunches and sleep. Everything in between adapts to the current needs of the babies and most of the time is spent playing. They assist, advise, and soothe during all activities and support in a deeper examination of the current activity of interest to the baby.

When babies are not focused on independent activities, we invite them into a circle and we perform arts, music or movement lessons. The staff capacity of the Malvína nursery is a great advantage in this respect with 4 aunts caring for 20 babies at most – it allows us to split up, entertain some babies with group activities and let others play on their own.

We work with the children in time blocks matching their attention span. For example, we teach them their first rhymes and dances, thus training motor skills, memory and group work. You can find out everything the child managed in a day in a written daily report upon pickup from the nursery 🙂

The children in the nursery also learn the first rules of socialization and make their very first friends. All this makes their transition to preschool much smoother. They consequently manage learning much easier.

Elective services

Malvína values close cooperation with parents. It helps children progress by leaps and bounds. Therefore, in addition to a written report and a discussion upon pickup from the nursery, we also organize joint creative workshops for children and their parents every second month.

A Sleep coach is available to help you make a sleep plan and advise you on how to sleep harmoniously. We consult the motor development of children with a physiotherapist, the educational specifics with a special pedagogue. You can find out more about individual staffers in the Our Team section.
